Hi, I’m April.
I provide evidence-based psychological support rooted in warmth and compassion.
Whether you are navigating neurodivergence, anxiety, or just feeling stuck, this is a safe place to unmask, find clarity, and move forward at your own pace.
My Approach
I believe true growth happens when you feel genuinely accepted, not analysed. My practice is rooted in warmth, inclusion, and a strengths-based perspective—meaning we focus on building up what you already do well. We’ll work together in a down-to-earth, collaborative space to find practical strategies that fit your life and your unique mind.

A Single Session
-
A complete, stand-alone psychology session, for when you need focused support, genuine clarity, or a real starting point.
Sometimes one well-held conversation changes everything.
50 minutes, clinically purposeful, properly documented and fully focused on you.
-
• You have one specific thing you want to think through with a qualified psychologist
• You are considering The Inner Edit and want to experience the work before deciding
• You have a GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan and want to use a session
• You have done therapy before and want a focused check-in rather than ongoing sessions
• You are not sure what you need yet and want a real conversation to find out
• You want to understand what is keeping you stuck before committing to a longer program
The Inner Edit
-
The Inner Edit is a 6-week evidence-based psychology program developed and delivered by April Saltmarsh, an AHPRA-registered psychologist.
It is designed for women who are ready to work on the internal patterns; the self-doubt, the overthinking, and the quiet belief that they need to look or be different to deserve more.
Drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioural principles, this program moves you from stuck in your head to grounded in who you actually are.
-
• You feel like your self-worth is too tangled up in how you look, how you perform, or how others see you
• You know what you want but keep talking yourself out of it and you don't fully understand why
• You overthink, second-guess, and struggle to feel like enough regardless of what you achieve
• You've tried self-help and motivation strategies and found they don't quite stick
• You want to work with a qualified psychologist, using an evidence-based approach
• You're ready to do the work that no skincare routine, course, or pep talk has ever reached
-
Phase 1 — Weeks 1 & 2: Understand the inner critic
We begin by understanding your self-doubt loop, where it came from, why it's loud, and how to work with it rather than be controlled by it. Using ACT-based defusion techniques, you'll learn to relate to your thoughts differently. Not to silence them, but to stop treating them as facts.
Phase 2 — Weeks 3, 4 & 5: Build a new relationship with yourself
We move into the action phase, clarifying your values, building psychological flexibility, and designing a committed action plan that works on your hard days, not just the days you feel motivated. This is where the internal architecture of change is built.
Phase 3 — Week 6: Edit the deeper story
The final phase is identity-level work, examining and rewriting the beliefs about worthiness, capability, and belonging that have been running quietly in the background. This is the work that produces lasting change.
-
The first step is a complimentary 20-minute discovery call. This is a real conversation, not a sales call, where we talk about where you're at, what you're working toward, and whether The Inner Edit is the right fit for you right now.
